Lemon chicken in the pot with rice


A classic dish, everyday, that you make easily, with a wonderful creamy lemonade sauce, that there is no way you can leave even a fork! We will make it with a wonderful, delicious rice, which we will offer to our loved ones, and where we will receive flattering comments!


  • 1 chicken cut into pieces (ask the butcher to cut them for you)
  • 80 g olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 sc whole garlic
  • Juice from a juicy lemon
  • Vegetable broth
  • 2 kc corn flour
  • Salt Pepper

For our rice

  • 2 cups yellow rice
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 chopped mushrooms
  • 1 chopped carrot
  • 2-3 cloves chopped sun-dried tomatoes
  • A little chopped green and red pepper
  • Salt Pepper


  1. We take a casserole dish, add the olive oil, and after we have dried our chicken with a paper towel, sauté it on all sides until it turns brown.
  2. Then add the onion, garlic, lemon and vegetable broth until the chicken is almost covered.
  3. Add salt and pepper, and close the lid and simmer the chicken for 40 minutes (it depends on the pieces).
  4. Then, after the chicken is boiled, transfer it to a plate and strain the broth. Keep 2 cups of broth aside. We tie the rest of the broth with corn flour for the sauce.
  5. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan, add our chopped vegetables for 2-3 minutes, and then add the rice.
  6. Saute them all together lightly, and add the two cups of broth that we have kept and another 3 cups of water.
  7. Season with salt and pepper and simmer in a half-broken pot. Once holes appear on the surface of the rice, pull aside the pot and cover with a clean towel.
