Chicken fillet with peas


Traditional recipe, where we all grew up with it. So the classic mommy recipe, where all the manoles enriched it with carrots and potatoes to eat their sprouts! And it was becoming so delicious !!!! let's remember it ..


  • 600 g chicken fillet cut into large pieces
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 4 chopped spring onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 medium potatoes cut into cubes
  • 2 sliced carrots
  • 1 kg of freshly peeled or frozen peas
  • Or chopped dill
  • 3-4 ripe tomatoes passed in the grater or 1 crushed tomato (400gr)
  • 1 kg tomato puree
  • Salt, pepper, 1 bay leaf
  • ¼ kg sugar
  • Olive oil


  1. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan and pour the chicken after we have dried it with absorbent paper and salt and pepper. Saute it on all sides to get color. 
  2. Then add the dried and fresh onion, the pulp, then the garlic and then the potatoes with the carrots. Stir to sauté everything together, and add the peas. the tomato and a little water (about 2 cups), salt, pepper, bay leaf and simmer for 40 minutes. 
  3. Then add the dill, simmer for another 10 minutes and try.
  4. Serve with a slice!
  • You can skip the pulp if you do not want it
  • Try it enriched with zucchini and peppers
