Shrimp with tomato sauce


Or shrimp with red sauce as we have heard otherwise.

Our rhythms are difficult, many obligations and little time for us. One of these classic days of running was today ώντας returning home I had to prepare in my company a quick light dish because it is both evening and delicious.

So γα the shrimp waiting in the fridge θηκαν set off for our meal today.

It is a dish that you will love because of its wonderful taste but you will also prefer it because it only takes a few minutes to prepare!

Materials (for one person):

  • 4-5 medium shrimp
  • 100 g tomato sauce
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1-2 basil leaves
  • some tsipouro
  • Salt Pepper

Sugar accompanying spaghetti (with cuttlefish ink) or plain rice.


  1. We clean the shrimp from the heads and the black thread back to the back.
  2. Finely chop the onion and sauté it. Before the onion is completely done, add the shrimp and the chopped garlic. Quench with tsipouro and add the tomato sauce.
  3. Add water if necessary, (if we boil spaghetti, keep some water from the spaghetti we have boiled to add it to the sauce)
  4. Add salt, pepper and at the end, just before removing them, add the basil.
