A traditional sweet favorite for adults and children for the taste of the aromas but also the various uses since it can be placed on top of ice creams, sweets, fruits, tarts etc.
Ingredients
- 1 kg ripe and firm strawberries
- 650 g sugar
- 50 gr brandy
- 1 vanilla
- 1 kg glucose
- A few drops of lemon
Directions
- Wash our strawberries very well and remove the stalks.
- In a saucepan, place the strawberries on top of the sugar and cover it and place it in the fridge for a day to drain the liquids.
- The next day we start boiling the strawberries. In the first boil, skim them. Boil for 5 minutes, add the lemon and glucose. Stir carefully and remove from the heat. Put it in sterile jars and keep it preferably in the refrigerator as it is a delicate and delicate fruit.
We can also make sweet strawberries and the strawberries that will be left from the liqueur. We follow the same procedure, only omitting the brandy because they have already been soaked in the tsipouro or vodka in which they were for 10 days. (because a housewife not only cooks deliciously but knows how to manage her ingredients in a smart way!)
Once we carefully remove the strawberries from the jar of liqueur, we place them in the pot with the sugar. At the end, add drops of lemon and glucose and after it boils, remove it from the heat.
