Sweet quince classic grandma… that we all remember! Who does not remember the "treat" that was offered to us at home with the necessary accompanying liqueur, or who does not remember the ice cream, with sweet quince on top !!! (at least I remember them very well…)
So let's see how you make this traditional dessert.
- 1 kg quince peeled and cut into thin strips
- 750 g of water
- Or kilos of sugar
- 150 g roasted almond
- 2 leaves of marjoram
- 1 kg glucose
Cut our quince into thin strips. Put it in the pot together with the sugar and water. Simmer for about 40 minutes. While it is simmering, skim. Slowly it "binds" our syrup. Just before the last cooking, add the arbaroriza and the glucose. Just before removing from the heat, remove the marjoram leaves and add the almonds. We place them in jars which have been sterilized by the method of boiling.
