A special apple pie that, although it has a process, will surely compensate you because it will win you over in taste and will be unforgettable.
This recipe is for a large kitchen pan. This apple pie is divided into 3 parts. In the dough, in the filling and in the finish of the apple pie with the special texture that makes it so special.
For the dough:
- 700 g flour g.o.x.
- 20 g sugar
- 10 g salt
- 250 g butter (room temperature, cut into very small cubes)
- 150 g of water
Mix the flour, sugar, salt. Add the butter in very small cubes and the water and knead. Our dough will come out tight. Put it in the fridge for 10 minutes and then open it and place it in our pan in which we have buttered it before. Spread and pierce with a fork. Put it in the oven and bake it at 175 degrees until it gets a golden brown color. (about a quarter)
For the filling
- 1 kg yogurt (preferably with a mixture of cow's milk and flower milk)
- 3 large eggs
- 700 g sugar
- 20 g salt
- 2 kg of peeled red apples cut into squares
- 100 g of raisins
Beat the yogurt, eggs, sugar and salt with an egg beater. Then take a spatula and mix adding the chopped apples and raisins.
When our dough is cooked and has cooled, add the filling and put it in the oven for about half an hour at 175
Until the filling is cooked, we prepare its finish.
For the finish
- 1 butter at room temperature cut into very small cups
- 700 g flour
- 250 g brown sugar
- 200 g white sugar
- 35 g cinnamon
- 5 g cloves
- a pinch of salt
- 250 g coarsely chopped walnuts
Put the flour and butter in a bowl and mix lightly. Add the herbs, sugars and walnuts and mix lightly to create many small balls.
After the filling is cooked, place the finish on top and spread it to go everywhere.
Bake at 175 degrees for about 10 minutes.
