Crispy petimezi cookies


Aromatic cookies with petimezi, crunchy and very very tasty.

They are reminiscent of mustache cookies, only they are made with petimezi and not with must. Lightweight, with pure ingredients that we can consume during periods of fasting and more.


  • 150 g sugar
  • 250 gr petimezi
  • 250 g of olive oil
  • 100 g of orange juice
  • 1 shot of brandy
  • 1 kg cinnamon
  • 1 kg g grated cloves
  • 1 kg soda
  • 1 kg baking powder
  • Peel an unripe orange
  • 1 k flour (-and less-as it takes-) soft
  • 400 gr sesame


  1. In a bowl, mix all the liquids together with the spices and soda. Beat them very well with a stirrer until the sugar melts. Sift the flour to get air, and slowly pour it into the bowl, molding. After we have thrown all the ingredients in, we mold slowly until we have a pliable, soft dough but it does not stick to our hands.
  2. We start to shape our cookies and give them the shape we want.
  3. After we have given them the shape, we take them one by one and dip them in a bowl in which we have put sesame seeds.
  4. Turn on our oven at 170The grades.
  5. Baking time varies depending on how big we have made our cookies. Personally, I like very small and cute, to be able to stand in the cup of coffee. In this case I leave them for a maximum of 10 minutes. You will see them in the baking. When you take them out, they should be slightly soft, so that they have time to tighten when they cool.
  6. Once our cookies are cold, we always have them covered to keep them crisp
