Semolina halva with figs and figs


Easy, fast, fasting, and delicious halva for all hours. Sure you have eaten plain halva with almonds and raisins, but have you tried halva with figs, and pieces of fig inside? The classic ratio is 1-2-3-4, but because it turns out a bit sweet for my taste, we will change the proportions a bit. The mammalian dosage is with the same cup to measure everything. If you hear a good idea, all you have to do is make it !!!


  • 1 cup Oil (½ olive oil ½ seed oil)
  • 1 cup fine semolina
  • 1 cup coarse semolina
  • ½ φλ συκόμελο CUMA
  • 2 cups shredded sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • Or dried figs, finely chopped
  • Λ fl almond
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Or cinnamon powder
  • ¼ kg clove powder
  • 1 orange peel


  1. Prepare the syrup in a saucepan. Add the water, the figs, the sugar, the cinnamon stick, the orange peel and let the syrup boil for 5 minutes. Then we remove it from the fire, and remove the foreign bodies from inside
  2. Heat our oil in a deep saucepan and add the semolina. Roast the semolina until it gets a golden brown color.
  3. Then add the cinnamon powder, cloves, almonds and figs. Stir well and remove the pan from the heat. Using a ladle, take the hot syrup and add it to the roasted semolina. Great attention !!!!!! Because the mixture splashes and it is hot !! Mix with very fast movements and add all the syrup in the mixture. Put the pot on the fire again and stir until our semolina swells and comes off the walls of the pot.
  4. Pour our halva into the mold while it is hot. Then we take the form, lift it and leave it on the surface, beat lightly, that is, constantly to let the air out of the mixture, and spread by pressing the surface. Let the halva cool. 
  5. Once it cools, we take a plate, put it at the base of the form and with one movement turn the form upside down on the plate. We decorate our halva.
